POLICIES
Privacy and Confidentiality of Information: Information submitted on orders and payments, whether by
telephone, electronic means, or in writing, is kept confidential and is unavailable to anyone outside the Institute staff.
An exception to this is that names and addresses (only) of customer, as there appear on our mailing list,
may occasionally in accord with common industry practice, be rented to other publishers for one-time use. This
excludes payment information.
Shipping Policy:
a) Order within the United States: we normally ship U.P.S. ground, unless it is obvious that some other method (e.g.
priority or first=class mail) is preferable in a given case, or unless a customer requests otherwise. Actual U.P.S. costs
are charged on the invoice you receive, plus $1.00 shipping and handling service. (These latter charges merely reflect
the approximate actual cost of these shipping materials.) All orders should include your street addresses; U.P.S.
cannot ship to Post Office boxes.
b) Orders outside the Unites States: shipment is normally by U.S. surface mail. Customer may request a faster
alternative (e.g. airmail) at their own expense.
c) Orders will be shipped within two weeks from the time an order has been placed. The exact amount of time for delivery will vary based on the shipping method you select.
Return Policy:
1) All returns require prior written approval, which is given only if the books in question are unmarked and are in salable condition.
2) Date of purchase of books cannot be more than 6months past original invoice date.
3) Original invoice for the books returned must be identified, at least by invoice number.
4) NO RETURNS ACCEPTED FRON FOLLETT STORES
5) Credit for returned books is handled by issuing a credit memo that can be activated by IJS on request of future book orders, (that excludes shipping costs).
6) For overstock returns, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Include title and quantity
7) Damaged books, please notify the IJS ASAP: No later than one week after receiving shipment.
